Sony Xperia M5 now available for pre-order in UK

Just a few days back, we received the information that Sony is looking forward to release its Xperia M5 handset to Europe. Then, the only countries where the phone was released by the Japanese giant were Poland and Netherlands. Now, there are some reports that the phone can also be pre-ordered in UK as well.
Carphone Warehouse has started taking the pre-orders of Xperia M5 phone in UK, with an expected delivery for 8th February. Also, the retailer says that it has exclusivity on the gold color of this handset. So, you will not be able to buy this handset in gold color from anywhere else in UK.


Currently, you can’t pre-order the pre-orders of Xperia M5 in SIM-free or Pay as you go but you can only pick up a new Xperia phone as a contract with the operator. If you choose the contract plan, then the M5 will comes to you free with plans starting at £22 per month.

You can get the cheapest option from Vodafone, which brings you 500 minutes, unlimited text, 500 MB of 4G data each month. But if you need more than this, you are always welcome to pick up different plans all the way to the one which gets you unlimited talk, text and 10GB data. This plans comes to you at £36 per month at Vodafone and £32 at P2 and £44.99 at EE.

Sony’s Xperia M5 smartphone is packed with a 5 inch Touchscreen display with 1080 pixels resolution. There is a 21MP rear snapper with LED flash for better quality pictures in low light conditions. The front facing camera has 13MP count for clicking selfie pictures.

Sony’s phone is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, an octa core processor with 2GHz clock speed and Cortex A53 architecture. There is an internal storage of 16GB which can further be expanded with microSD card slot and 3GB RAM for faster processing. The phone has a 2,600 mAh battery and 4G connectivity. The Xperia phone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
