Xiaomi Mi 5 will arrive in two different versions

It’s almost normal to find the Chinese smartphone makers to launch their flagship handsets in two versions. These iterations are mostly priced based on how much the RAM and internal storage they will pack. Now, Xiaomi is determined to take this new handset to a new level and the rumors have come out of China that it will get two new variants soon.

An insider from the mobile industry claims that there will be two hardware version for the new Mi 5 handset of the manufacturer. We have posted the picture showing one of the variant of this upcoming handset which comes with a 2.5D curved glass on both the front and back of the phone and a metal frame as well. This handset will be packed with a display that shows 1080 pixels screen resolution.

However, there will also come a premium model which will be packed with a full metal body and QHD display. The screen size for these variants will be the same. But this is not mentioned by the Chinese maker anyways, however we can assume that if Xiaomi makes such differentiation then the cheaper, glass model of the phone will sport less storage and lesser RAM than the metal phone. There will be an internal storage of 32GB with 3GB RAM and the 64GB model will get 4GB RAM for faster processing.

Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone comes with a 5.2 inch Touchscreen display with 720 pixels resolution and has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical Home Button of this phone. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC chip and has 3,600 mAh battery backup. There is a 16MP rear snapper and a13MP front facing camera which is capable of clicking better quality pictures even in low light condition. We can expect these handsets to get official by 21st January and will be available for sale on 8th February.
