BlackBerry responds to reports saying Dutch forensic team is Hacking its Phones

Recently, there were some reports that a Dutch forensic team has somehow managed to decrypt the emails on some smartphone of the BlackBerry.

According to the reports, these smartphones are some of the most secure pieces from the Canadian giant. This is a really shocking matter but it should not affect the popularity of these BlackBerry phones. In response to the statement, the company says that they don’t have any information about the method used for this and also they don’t know what phones are involved.

BlackBerry added to their statement, that the “devices remain as secure and private as they have always been.” Also, they said that “BlackBerry does not have any details on the specific device or the way that it was configured, managed or otherwise protected, nor do we have details on the nature of the communications that are claimed to have been decrypted.”

However, the reports claim that the company has not refused to the claims of the dutch forensic team about decryption. They said that the factors such as user consent, insecure third party application or deficient security behavior might have led to this.
