LG G5 will be available on sale in UK starting 8th April that is a week after it will make a debut in South Korea and US. This smartphone is reported as the first modular mobile in the world with an add-on that slots into its bottom. These new add-ons to this phone are called Friends.
During its launch, the users will be able to choose from the Cam Plus add-on, Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play, 360 Cam, 360 VR, Tone Platinum, Rolling Bot and H3 by B&O Play. For example, the slot in the Cam Plus and the phone will be quite easy to grip as a camera. This device also has a toggle switch to launch the camera, a physical shutter button, button for video recording and a digital zoon dial.
Currently, there is no word on how much this slot in the Cam Plus and the other Friends cost. There are also reports that these will be only available in the “selective markets”, so we will be required to wait until it gets launched in the market. For this handset, the Korean giant has given the UX 5.0 graphical user interface a lick of paint.
LG’s G5 will come packed with an always-on display which lets the users see key information including time and notifications easily in a single glance. It has a 5.3 inch display which has 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and 554 ppi pixel density. This smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB RAM for faster speed.
There will be 32GB internal memory, which can further be expanded to 200GB using a microSD card slot. It has a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP front facing camera, which is capable of clicking better quality pictures in low light conditions as well.
