Latest Contract phones from Nokia, You May Like

Nokia 3.1 is a great device for someone who is looking for an all rounder device which is capable of dealing with his day to day task. Know more about the device in the review ahead.

Nokia 3.1 Review

Nokia came back recently, and with their comeback they brought a lot of devices. Today we are going to talk about the Nokia 3.1 which is the latest of the device from Nokia which comes with some great features in the market, for the exact set of features and perks of the device let us move forward to the review of the device, and know more about the sub £149.99 device and see if it is capable of making a change in the market with the sales figure of other devices.

Design & Build

Nokia have loaded the Nokia 3.1 as a really simple and plane device. The front glass panel of the phone is quite simple and happens to have acceptable amount of bezels all around. On the top right we do have the Nokia branding which will surely affect the looks of the phone in a positive manner. On the back we just have a single lens camera setup. Overall the phone is built on a plastic platform, but the phone still looks and feel premium.

Display

So the Nokia 3.1 comes with a 5.20 inch display which comes with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. When it comes to the color reproduction of the display it is true to the original taste, but at times you will see that the colors of the images are washing out. The contrast levels in the images and videos on the phone are quite sufficient, but on the maximum brightness the contrast levels will start fading and hence the images during full brightness of the screen will not be great, while on lower brightness under 80% will be great.

Performance

Nokia have loaded the 3.1 with the MediaTek’s latest MT6750 which is clocked at 1.8GHz and is an octa core chipset. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal Storage which makes the Nokia 3.1 an optimal choice for people who are looking for a phone which can make their daily task with ease. Surely this is not a device for gaming, and hardcore multitasking and is just a device which will let you call, access the social media, and do other normal task for which the phone is made for. Nokia sends out the device pre-loaded with Android 8.0 out of the factory. This is a nice gesture for the phone to come with just the second last version of Android and hence the latest version might be just around the corner.

Camera

There is a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera loaded onto the smartphone. This setup is made to churn out some really great images, and they actually accomplishes the same task. You can easily take pictures daily with the phone and load onto the Internal Storage or the 128GB Expandable Storage loaded on to the smartphone. Do note that the images taken via the device are not upto the level and you will find the images to be shaky in the night time, and might also find the images blown out in harsh sunlight. Images are also found to be quite blurry and the colors are not that accurate when you use the front camera of the device during the night time.

Battery

We can find a 2990 mAh battery which is sufficient enough on the phone to do its daily job. The phone will easily live a full day, and do note that the phone will be powered on only if you do the normal tasks such as messaging, calling, etc. If there is any other work done on the phone like using the Camera,  or gaming on the device then the phone will have to suffer a great way on the battery life. If you use camera application for over an hour then for sure the phone will die in another 4 to 5 hours of standby. Hence do use the phone wisely especially in terms of high battery usage applications.

Verdict

Nokia 3.1 is a great device and comes with all the necessary things required in a normal smartphone. The phone is not anything extraordinary and you for sure will be getting bored with the device in the next 1 or 2 months. But the thing here is it is made to do the specified task not in order to make the phone a gaming device, or a camcorder.

What is a phone contract?

Nokia 3.1 Contract refers to handset and tariff plan deals sold by network including monthly allowances of call minutes, texts and internet data. In these deals you pay the handset cost in installments over the period of contract duration.

If you opt for some upfront cost in your contract it will help you in lowering monthly premium as well as over the total contract term. Data, call or text used outside allowances in your tariff will be charged in your next month bill.

You just have to choose your desired phone with monthly tariff plan and set-up a bill payment method, your phone will be delivered to your door as per your scheduled delivery.

Advantages of mobile phones on contract

Why are these phone contracts so cheap?

Cheap Nokia 3.1 contracts

We compare all the Nokia 3.1 deals, offered by networks and retailers in the online UK market. As we have found direct offers from network providers like EE, O2, Vodafone etc are rarely competitive to resellers. If you were purchasing phones directly from networks, you may be surprised by these prices.

As resellers are reducing their cost buy purchasing phones in bulk and also working on less margins in comparison to networks, so they are able to offer such cheap deals.

All phones are genuine with manufacturer’s warranty and network services are directly from the providers so you need not to worry a bit about the quality. And the retailers we have compared are also reputed and well established in the market from long time.

How to keep my mobile number?

You can keep your number with the purchase of the phone in either method depending on your current network and the provider of the deal you want to purchase.

If you wish to stay with your existing network, you should go for an upgrade deal.

  • Finished with your existing contract, just call the network to get the lowest upgrade price with the desired phone.
  • Compare the upgrade deals on Nokia 3.1 with us at the same phone; we are sure you will get a cheaper option.
  • Still the new contract offers might be better than an upgrade, so you can switch to some other network and port your number to that. A fiddly alternative is to switch with some other network with PAYG SIM and switch back to your existing network with the new contract offer.

If you wish to switch your network, you have to PORT your number

As the cheapest deals are always offered to new customers, so you are eligible for that. Grab the best contract on Nokia 3.1 with us for maximum saving. Below are the steps of porting a number.

  • Order the new phone and make sure you are happy with the delivery.
  • Ask the PAC (Port Authorization Code) code from your existing network.
  • Give this PAC code to your new network to transfer you number to your new phone.
  • Number porting usually takes 15 minutes and exceptionally up to 2 hours of time.
  • As soon as the PORT process will complete, your old contract will be automatically cancelled.

What is a refurbished phone?

Refurbished Nokia 3.1 is the devices, which were sent back due to any fault or under any exchange plan or any other authorized reason by its previous owner. However these are checked and restored to fully working condition if necessary.

Typically they come without original packing and accessories. To ensure comfort of further users, warranty is added with them. Technically it is a used phone but it is better then bought from any random user.

Based on condition these might be categorized as:

  • Grade A: new looking condition and no major signs of handling.
  • Grade B: may have minor scratches or signs of being used.
  • Grade C: will show signs of being used.

With the brand new phones we also compare cheap offers of refurbished phones. We put an indicator (refurb), within the deal; if no such indicator is present then it’s a new phone.

What is a cashback deal?

You may have found few contracts on Nokia 3.1, inclusive a cashback. It can be redeemable or automatic in nature. It reduces your effective cost of the overall contract but doesn’t effect on your monthly payments. Few retailers may have shown it as discounted monthly line rental but we have shown it separately to make it clearer.

  • Automatic Cashback: as the name suggests, it is paid to you directly by the retailer at the set period of time of your contract.
  • Redeemable Cashback: it is usually higher than the automatic cashback for the same plan offered. But you need to claim it at the set intervals during your contract period.

We recommend you to clarify all cashback related queries at the retailer’s website, as the terms may vary for different retailers.
