If budget is not a problem for you, go for the Moto G5 Plus as it has better specifications.
Since November 2013, we have seen a bunch of low range smartphones from Motorola, all named Moto G, until last year when the new owner Lenovo announced the fourth generation Moto G, more aptly named as Moto G4 with three variants, namely Moto G4, Moto G4 plus and Moto G4 play.
A report has suggested that in future we are going to see the fifth generation of Moto G, and we hope, that it would have been named Moto G5.
The highly speculated release date:
As the release dates of all the generations of Moto G always coincide with the MWC, the biggest mobile trade show of the year, we can expect this tradition to be consistent this year too.
Two dates have already gained the spotlight in mobile arena; one being 26th Feb 2017. The day has been selected by Motorola for inaugurating an event just before the day of MWC 2017 on 27th Feb 2017. Keeping that in mind, we can speculate that Moto G 5th generation would have been incubated by the authority. Features and specifications:
The rumour is that Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 will feature in this phone. It promises 35% lower battery usage than the previous Snapdragon 617. This budget phone also includes Adreno 506 GPU. This phone will obviously run the newest Android Nougat and possibly we’ll see the micro USB swapped with USB C.
A source confirms a 5.5 inch full HD screen, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, an octa-core processor based on Cortex-A 53, Micro USB and a headphone jack. We are hoping more than one variant of Moto G fifth generation as previous.
The expected price range of this phone should be around £150-£170 which is a good starting price for a low range budget smartphone.
Speculation paves the way to excitement as we all wait in anticipation for Moto to make a mark with the G5.
